Great work as always. The refusal of the Ultra Orthodox to serve in the military, and the hardship that confers on those who do serve, is in interesting contrast to the mentality of American evangelicals regarding the protection of Israel. The religious inspiration is the belief that those who do not stand with Israel should not expect God to stand with them. While this is speculation, I'm under the impression that if word went out that Israel needed help, a large number of evangelical fellows would grab their deer rifles (and AR-15s) and book the next flight to Tel Aviv.

No question they would. In the months after the war there were many groups of awesome Americans who came to help out in agriculture, with the cow herds up north, u name it. I ran into quite a few in random places and their support for Israel was total. These were not American Jews. Some were likely religiously motivated but many were not. Former military. I ran into a bunch of real cowboys once. U name it. The best of America stepped up. Quietly. The issue with the draft is possibly coming to a head later this week and I’m interviewing one of the most senior and key coalition MKs We’d aft to discuss this very issue. Stay tuned. The pace here only quickens…..never stops.

Thx for the feedback, Dave. Always appreciate your comments. 🙏
