In this pithy clip, Viv and Fleur speak about what’s going on in the streets of Toronto – a community of close to 250,000 Jews (with Canada having the fourth largest community in the world) and in the west, generally. There is fear, confusion, anger and shock at the outburst of Jew hatred in the west, openly calling for the annihilation of Israel and killing of Jews. One difference with Canada? Federal leadership – led by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau - has been silent and has clearly aligned with the Palestinians/Hamas/Hizballah/Iran.
Vivian and Fleur are two of the four regular hosts of a recently launched bi-weekly TV talk show – The QUAD - focusing on Israel and the Jewish world, a JNS production that also features Emily Schrader and Ashira Solomon.
When not on camera, Fleur has a busy life based in Jerusalem, with her husband and four teenage and young adult children, many friends and family and, as you will see in the clip, a charm that the camera loves. She is also Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem in charge of foreign relations, international economic development and tourism. She was recently appointed Special Envoy for Innovation by Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eli Cohen.
