Global, CTV and in particular CBC should be required to play your 1:26 audio clip before every video clip they air of the IDF action in the Gaza Strip.
I’m wondering if you can comment on the situation in northern Israel. Have the residents that were displaced due to the actions of Hezbollah been able to return to their homes?
Hoping that all the hostages will be returned very soon but it’s difficult to believe it will actually happen while Hamas has any control of the situation.
Thanks, Glenn. I always appreciate hearing from you. I'm not at all surprised to read that you found that very modest community gathering to be so moving. The people are the backbone, heart and soul of this country. I did not go planning to document it as I did but it just seemed so "right".
Some people have returned to their homes in the north but many remain "displaced." To be honest I have not paid as careful attention to the north in recent weeks but I do understand that it has been quiet.
I just finished an interview with Jonathan Conricus that I hope to get out tonight - about the budding peace process and where it might lead - in the coming days and down the road. Let's hope that the hostages are freed. That has everyone on the edge of their seats. I'm hopeful but very cautiously so.
