Ha! Glad you asked, Glenn........I've been on fire on twitter but good for you for avoiding that cesspit. I am writing on Carney and other stuff for the Nat Post at the moment - will likely be up later today. I have many thoughts. But the bottom line is that he is dangerously uninformed and reckless when it comes to foreign policy - and his anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments are clearly exposed. I've done a lot of media on him in the last few days. Invariably. the first question I'm asked is - are you surprised? Absolutely not, i respond. I was in the nerve centre of the Canadian foreign policy brain trust - aka Global Affairs. I've experienced the rot first hand. Ten years ago people didn't believe me about how bad it was. Today, they are starting to see reality. But it's too far gone, in my opinion.

I’ve been a subscriber of StateTLV from the start. Before becoming a subscriber I was following you on Twitter/X for years. I am no longer on X. The place is a cesspool and the Wild West for Jew hate and every other kind of insanity. Musk has ruined it with his free speech absolutism and the algorithm is primed for anger. I don’t miss it. I’m on Instagram and Threads. I’m a researcher who’s been monitoring Jew hate and terrorism on the web and social media for over 30 years. It’s been a wild ride but the Jew hatred post 7/10 is through the roof and social media and AI has made it even worse. Look forward to Andrew Fox. I'll write about it in the next few days and yes - i need a break. And every time I try to take one something even more extreme happens. It just does not stop. Agree with you re X. Threads is part of Meta, Instagram. Not nearly as toxic as X. Of course the Jew haters and the bots are all over social media. If you have an Instagram account you can link it to threads. I know about needing a break and having things come up. My only ‘break’ comes on Shabbat when I’m off of social media. Everyday there are new stories about Jews being accosted, beaten or thrown out of spaces in Europe or North America. There was a horrible story that came out of Brooklyn https://www.algemeiner.com/2025/07/30/kill-all-jews-fbi-investigates-attack-new-york-kosher-restaurant-possible-hate-crime/. It’s just insane to see how mainstream and normalised Jew hate has become. G-d willing I am hoping to make Aliyah with my dog and leave Los Angeles, there have been incidents here as well. There is a direct correlation between the Jew hating rhetoric online and what’s occurring in public spaces and it’s quite frightening. What’s happened to Canada is absolutely gobsmacking.
Canada is a mess. Has always been, in a way. People just preferred to pretend otherwise. I've been in the bowels of Ottawa and experienced it directly and up close. It's very real. We're in for a rough few decades, I expect. But at least we can fight back. If you do make aliya drop me a line. I relocated a year ago from central Tel Aviv to a kibbutz near Sderot. And i love it. shabbat shalom. v
